Fundraising Campaign 2020: The 3 sisters’ SEED MONEY, to hire a management team

Picture
Seed money for the Three Sisters is a metaphor.  We need people to come together to tutor and support each other, just like the squash seeds, beans and corn kernels that are planted in traditional Indigenous gardens.
Challenge your friends, your family, a group you are part of!  The challenge: simply to learn about the ancient wisdom of the Three Sisters that is at the origin of today's permaculture, and to discover together, any and all relationships with the current conditions of Aboriginal health and the disparities in treatment in Quebec.
If you are convinced, donate to our cause, gather the financial seeds that will grow the original structure of the Indigenous Health Centre of Tiohtià:ke in its own right!

A donation of $500 = squash, $750 = bean, and $1,000 = corn. Contribute your 10 cents to hire the first professional management team. We're going to ask for a 1:2 matching at the federal level! You can donate below!

2020 Year-end appeal
Q: What will be the impact of your donation to the Indigenous Health Center of Tiohtià:ke?
A: A significant one – in 2021 and long into the future! You will help build hope and bring innovation to the Indigenous Health Centre of Tiohtià:ke/Montreal by putting it into the hands of its first executive staff team, tasked with making it a long-term project.

Over the past 11 years, our board members have gathered and listened to the needs and the human rights claimed by the members of Indigenous communities. Many deal daily with challenges that come from moving to an urban center; studying, working, and accessing basic needs like traditional practices that are proven to build healthy identities.
Our board members have worked with partners and volunteers to find local solutions to problems with access to health and social services, traditional healing practices, and cultural safety training, to name just a few. Despite the difficulties in breaking barriers and coordinating initiatives, we have held on and managed to produce key studies and pilot projects in Quebec that impact the lives of so many who struggle to gain wellness, cultural safety and continuity.
A recent development has given us hope for the long term: the Centre was invited to bid on a downtown location on the Campus de la Montagne.  Can we structure our act and claim it in 2021? We are asking you to help us make it to the finish line on this vital project!

Your 2020 donation to the Indigenous Health Centre of Tiohtià:ke sustains hope in Montreal, as we hope to employ an Executive Director to direct the development of the project that will assist numerous other clinics, programs and projects across the Tiohtià:ke territory.

Your support to this 2020 Year-end Staff campaign will enable us to meet the growing demand for a safe and accessible Indigenous health centre where First Nations, Metis and Inuit can appreciate Indigenous values and teachings.
Chi migwetch, nia:wen, nakurmik, thank you et merci for your consideration and generosity. May the returning light of this season keep your heart warm and you spirit healthy!
